About Us

History

CancerConnects, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in NYS in 2006, under the guidance and support of physicians, staff and cancer survivors/patients of Hematology-Oncology Associates of Central New York, P.C. The first training class of its signature Mentor Program was held in September 2007 with newly diagnosed cancer patients soon after reaping the benefits of having a cancer survivor & mentor for guidance while on their cancer journey.

The organization has since experienced continual growth and now provides free programs and services annually to more than 2000 adult cancer patients in eight counties and adjacent regions throughout CNY & NNY, regardless of their affiliation with any particular healthcare provider or facility.

Mission

CancerConnects provides free programs and services to help facilitate the cancer journey for patients throughout Central & Northern New York. We empower adult cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers via connections to community resources, support, and guidance.
